- Chicken in caramelized onion sauce

Recipe: Chicken in onion sauce


  • 1 tb spoon vinigar
    1 1/2 tb spoons sugar
    1 tb spoon Cartrights medium curry
    2 tb spoons water

    3 onions
    +-8 portions chicken thighs
    1 tin cream of mushroom soup


  1. 3 onions chopped and fried until slightly transparent
    mix vinigar, sugar, curry powder and water into paste and pour over chopped onions. Mix until the onions pick up the flavour of the paste. Now add mushroom soup as is, let simmer for 1-2min.
    Place the chicken, skin up, in a cassarole dish and pour the onion sauce over the meat. Expose some of the chicken skin so that it will crisp up. bake on 150 degrees for 1 to 1 1/2 hours until brown and crispy on top.
